Imagine! Fresh out of New Jersey [one of our own],singer, rapper, songwriter and entrepreneur, 23 Years old. His genre varies from R&B to Pop and he as also been compared to the likes, of John Legend; sound/vocal wise. Born from humble beginnings as just a local freestyle battler with a dream. Imagine began freestyle battling at the age of 12. Honing his craft throughout high school, then known as Konspiracy. But there was something more to him than just another local rapper. Along the way, he developed a passion more for singing. Meanwhile, putting his hardcore rapper persona to rest. As most talented singers, Imagine was raised in the church, and Gospel music was instilled in him from the start. There was no doubt in his mind that this was something he was born to do. With only two years under his belt in pursuing the industry, Imagine’s sound is already quoted as “a breath of fresh air”, and what music really needs at this point and time. Only time will tell what the future holds for this promising aspiring artist. The music will be sure to speak for itself with his debut project appropriately titled, "Strangers". This will be his way of introducing himself and what he's capable of to the masses. Expect the unexpected!

Background. He released his EP, Strangers, in early December. He is EP was pretty strong, for an unsigned artist and I found myself listening to it over and over. If you would like to download his EP you can do so the link is provided down below [band camp link].

Jahbari

The 19 Year Old, Singer/Songwriter, Brooklyn Native is making a name for himself all over New York, and New Jersey through his team L.F.S. (Loyalty+ Focus=Success) this group was formed in 2001 and established in 2010. Jahbari's talent was discovered when his older brother Nkosi realized that he had a powerful voice and a talent that should be shared amongst other people; since then Jahbari has taken his talent extreme serious and lives in the studio!

Background. He is currently working in the studio on his mix tape, which is set to premier this summer, with the production of L.F.S. and he also has a song out now called "Miss Me with the BS". "Miss Me with the BS" is a pretty catchy song, I had it over the weekend first hand, and I know the words already! Dope. Expect an official video soon and hopefully radio promo and also iTunes download.  Moreover, he comes from a family of performers; his great Uncle, Count Robin, is a well known Calypsonian within Trinidad and the United States and also other members of his family has contributed to the music game.

When I first heard Jahbari sing, his brother Nkosi sent me a link to his cover of Bob Marley's Redemption Song and my heart just melted. Jahbari has some kind of infectious sound that makes you say DAMN, this is true talent!

Who is K-MAJOR? The 20 yr. Atlanta Native is making a name for himself all over ATL and other places in the States (mostly on the East Side). He is one of the most talked about and highly anticipating artists' in today's game. His genre seems to vary from R&B to Hip-Hop (what he would call Urban Pop) but I am pretty sure that he is capable of producing hits in other genres. And not only is he an artist, he is a producer and also a writer!

Background. He is currently under 3MG Entertainment Record Label, and also attending the Art Insitute of Atlanta (Major in Audio Production). He has a number of works under his belt, he has been on BET! yes you heard it right!!! He performed on BET and also had a video shown. Nonetheless, he has worked with many different artists, such as Darnell Robinson (From Mtv's Super Sweet 16) Lil Chuckee & Lil Twist (Young Money), Issa, and D-Pryde, just to name a few. He also has a number of songs that will make the ladies "Go Wild", his single as of right now is My Girl (Hold Me Down); which is the video that was shown on BET and other television programs. MEET Young Skooby. The 19 year-old Brooklyn native is no Rookie to the game, he has been rapping since the age of 16. His music is very street so, it can be heard through the 5 boroughs. He has done numerous fashion show performances, such as DGH Fashion Show and Nakis in Long Island, NY. He also has been on tour with known rapper, Frenchie. He is currently under Teflon Koated Ent. Company, which is his own record label/modeling agency. However, please do not be mistaken he is looking to get officially signed so keep your eyes and ears open. This is a artist that I support to the FULLEST!

Background. In the pass he has worked with many different artists but as of right now; he currently working with 1017 BrickSquad (Wacka Flocka's Crew), and Rapper's Wooh Da Kid, Frenchie, and  Kontraversy.

Hello,

My name is Christal Mendez, creator of Young Raw Talent,Full Time Student and Athlete [Track]

Here is my story: For the past few months, I have been thinking of crazy ideas dealing with the music industry and wanting to support friends around me that are deep into music (it's all they do= music is their drug). I came up with the idea of creating a blog and showing off the talents of my friends,associates and even people that I see while browsing the Internet. And I finally made up my mind last night 5/3/11 that I will be blogging about MUSIC (mostly) and whatever else floats my way.
